What does it take to become a mentor?

We would love to hear from you if:

You have a willingness to become a mentor; to give back to the community and share what you’ve learned along the way with others. And if you work in tech and have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Engineering, Product, Data Science, Design, Business, UX, Operations, HR, Marketing, Management & Leadership

What is expected from a mentor?

  • 4 to 5 hours of time commitment per month - unless you want to contribute more
  • Act as a guide for a mentee during their project work - advise, don’t provide ready solutions
  • Help to structure a project, set an end goal and break it down
  • Provide constructive feedback and address any problems along the way

How does Ampair work?

Fill out a sign-up form telling us a bit about you

We emphasise quality and build a curated community of driven experts open to give and take. Therefore, take your time while filling out the form and tell us about your expertise, interests, and motivation to become part of Ampair.

Appear on the Ampair website

Once accepted to the, we will create you a profile, including your picture and a short bio.

Mentees will apply directly to you as a mentor of their choice, justifying their decision and answering several questions that helps us assess their potential, commitment and motivation.

Receive Applications

You will have about a month to receive applications via our ATS and about two weeks on selection and pairing.

Pair UP

A choice to select a mentee belongs to you.

We recommend you to set up a call to verify to evaluate the fit between you two - address your expectations, discuss the type of project you would like to work, align on the timeline and the end goal.

If the call goes well, you will be ready to start working Am-pair

Attend a Kick Off Party!

We will invite you and your mentee to the Kick-Off Party where you will have an opportunity to connect with other mentoring pairs and the rest of community, share your project idea and listen to the plans of others.

3 months Project Work

We have only a couple of recommendations on how to structure your project work - set up SMART goals and meet twice -once a month for a feedback session with your mentee.

Closing celebration

After a period of hard work, there must be a time for celebrations!
You will be invited am- pair to a celebration, where all the mentees will be presenting outcomes of their three months project work. We will also invite our partners and future mentors.

End of the program

It will be at your discretion to provide your mentee with personal recommendations based on the quality of work they delivered.

We would like to offer a special reward to those of who delivered special work. Will will showcase the few projects of outstanding quality to the wide audience of on our social media channels.
