I am Jahn and I have been working in the Berlin startup scene since 2011, first as backend engineer, and for the past few years as devops engineer. While I worked for WATTx in the past, currently I am employed as Infrastructure Engineer at Lesson Nine GmbH (the company behind the better known language learning product Babbel). Currently, I'm involved in cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code.
If you are new to the Berlin startup environment or are starting out on a career in web development, I might be able to give you practical feedback or opinionated technical advice, in particular on topics concerning cloud, infrastructure and backend (e.g. infrastructure as code, AWS, Google Cloud, Terraform, Rails, node.js, Go lang), in the of areas DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, and Web development
Off working hours, I am somewhat of a family person (which allows me to play Nintendo with my kids). I like cooking curries, playing the ukulele not so well and watching Anime. I'm also struggling with improving my written Japanese skills.
